Hi, I’m Tracey Anne.

I’m a staff writer for Mic, and you can find my work in all the places you hate to love, like Vice and Broadly. I’ve been a freelance health, culture, and lifestyle writer for more than a decade. I get off on making weirdly optimistic — and often genuinely weird — evidence-based journalism about health, relationships, sex, justice, queer identity, and science.

I live on a bend in the river in Bulbancha, aka New Orleans. For fun, I make new shapes out of words they find lying around the levee and write poetic non-fiction essays about how to live alright in a dying body and do okay in a scary world. I also teach yoga and meditation.

I’m obsessed with getting innovative ideas out of the ether and into print. I teach other othered writers how to navigate the mysteries of getting published. Spoiler alert: there’s no mystery.
