Hi, I’m Tracey Anne.

I'm a journalist and a teacher and I've been both basically forever. You can find my work in all the places you hate to love — HuffPost, Today.com, Mic, Vice — and I've also stood in front of classrooms at Southern University, BRCC, LSU, and Our Lady of the Lake and tried to get people to care about words. Pro tip: It works if you also care about words.

I have an MFA in literary nonfiction from LSU, which is a very expensive way to say I am extremely serious about sentences. I live on a bend in the river in Bulbancha, aka New Orleans, where I teach somatic movement, grow things, and am working on a book.

I'm obsessed with getting innovative ideas out of the ether and into print, into bodies, and into rooms full of people who didn't know they needed them.
